Substitute Teacher opportunities are available across Elementary, Middle, and High School grade levels and a variety of subject areas.
Substitute Teacher Rates:
$164.49 per day for a 6-hour assignment
$143.26 per day for a 6-hour assignment

What You'll Do

Follow lesson plans, classroom routines, and instructions provided by the regular classroom teacher.

Provide meaningful learning activities that support the teacher's instructional objectives.

Create a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.

Use sound judgment and flexibility when lesson plans or instructions are unavailable.

Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Take accurate attendance and follow district procedures.

Leave appropriate notes for the regular classroom teacher regarding classroom activities, student progress, and any significant concerns.

Adapt to different grade levels, subject areas, classrooms, and school buildings.
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applicants with a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or at least 60 college credit hours.

Experience working with children or youth, classroom experience, coaching, mentoring, tutoring, or other related experience is preferred.

Teaching certification is preferred but not required.

Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a variety of educational environments.

Ability to follow directions, exercise sound judgment, and work independently.

Successful completion of required fingerprinting and background clearance prior to employment.
Flexible Assignment Opportunities
Substitute Teachers may accept daily/on-call assignments based on district needs and their availability. Long-term assignments may also be available.
